Singleton Birch Ltd was proud to sponsor the Golden Apple Awards. The awards ceremony took place on the 2nd March 2017 at the Forest Pines Hotel. Eleven prestigious education awards were handed out across as many categories, in a ceremony that recognised all that’s good about education, and the people in it, throughout Northern Lincolnshire.
The awards recognise and celebrate the talent, skills and hard work that goes into teaching and providing education in North & North East Lincolnshire. They help to raise the profile of great teaching in the community and reward those whose work deserves to be recognised amongst their peers.
Singleton Birch Ltd chose to sponsor the Apprentice of the Year category. This award went to the student who completed an apprenticeship with the academic year (2015/16) or is working towards an apprenticeship. The judges looked for the person who made outstanding progress in both their practical work and in their studies and who made an exceptional contribution to their workplace.
Ellen Tatterton (Finance Director) presented the award for ‘Apprentice of the Year’ to Lucy Smith (British Steel).
