Non-Lime Products

To comply with emission standards, flue gases produced by energy-from-waste (EfW) incinerators are treated with products such as powdered activated carbon (PAC), Urea and Ammonia to remove contaminants, such as heavy metals and dioxins, produced at levels above permissible limits. Singleton Birch are able to supply the following products.

Carbon Products

The Filtracarb® FGT® range of products is based on activated carbon manufactured from specially selected coal that is steam activated at high temperatures to create a product with a high pore volume, particularly suitable for the removal of dioxins and heavy metals, such as mercury (Hg), from MSW (municipal solid waste) flue gas systems. They are produced to ensure the highest and most economic overall performance, the broadest spectrum of adsorption characteristics and enhanced product performance. They are safe for bulk storage and handling, have large pore volume to maximise adsorption and demonstrate excellent heavy metal removal.  They can eliminate dioxin to more than 99.9 per cent efficiency; have excellent adsorption kinetics and ignition characteristics that meet Category St1. They are supplied to BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.

Urea Products

Technical Grade UREA also known as Industrial Grade UREA – (uncoated or coated) prills for production of Aqueous Urea Solutions (AUS) to be used in conjunction with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SNCR) systems that requires the best quality purity. Technical Grade UREA can also be used as a raw material for resins, glue, animal feed and much more!
