Eco net sagging into digester surface and concerns over snagging on paddle mixer causing a major issue and retrieve and replace three mixers.
How we helped
Utilising our previous experience of similar issues, Birch Solutions was able to rapidly identify the issues and develop a resolution plant that involved the replacement of the Eco-net and mixers on the 5,600m3 digester.
Elements of the work included:
- Development of project plan and associated project and safety documentation
- Safe de-commissioning for the digester prior to starting work
- Removal of the bio-dome and eco net
- Retrieval and replacement of three submersible mixers
- Replacement of Econet and support straps
- Re-installation of double membrane bio-dome
- Development and implementation of re-commissioning plan
- Start up and re-commissioning support
